The Guangdong Provincial Government praises the award-winning contestants of the first China Vocational Skills Competition in our province

From December 10th to 13th, 2020, the first National Skills Competition of the People's Republic of China (hereinafter referred to as the First National Skills Competition) was successfully held in Guangzhou, Guangdong. This is the highest standard, most diverse, largest scale, and highest level comprehensive national vocational skills competition held since the founding of the People's Republic of China. The Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the State Council attach great importance to this. General Secretary Xi Jinping sent a congratulatory letter, Premier Li Keqiang gave instructions, and Vice Premier Hu Chunhua attended the opening ceremony of the competition. At this competition, the Guangdong delegation sent 97 athletes to participate in all 86 events, winning a total of 32 gold medals, 13 silver medals, 11 bronze medals, and 27 winning awards. The number of gold medals accounted for 37% of the national total, and the number of gold medals, medals, and team total scores all ranked first in the country, fully demonstrating the superb skills and positive spirit of our province's skilled talents, fully demonstrating the foundation and strength of our province's transition from a manufacturing province to a manufacturing powerhouse, and fully reflecting the level of our province's construction of a high skilled talent team and the high-quality development of technical and vocational education. At the same time, our province has lived up to its heavy trust and successfully completed the organization and hosting of the first National Skills Competition. The event was organized safely and smoothly, and the service guarantee was thoughtful and meticulous, achieving a double harvest of hosting and participating in the competition.

In order to vigorously promote the spirit of model workers, the spirit of labor, and the spirit of craftsmanship, and create a social atmosphere of "glorious labor, noble knowledge, precious talents, and great creation", we hereby commend and reward the winners of the first National Skills Competition in our province, as well as the units and individuals who have made outstanding contributions to the competition. The specific details are as follows:

1、 36 individuals, including Liu Zelong, who won gold medals in 32 projects including electronic technology, will be commended and rewarded with RMB 250000 each. They will also be promoted to senior technician professional qualification or vocational skill level. Each of the 32 project technical guidance expert groups will receive a reward of RMB 250000.

2、 Fifteen individuals, including Hong Jiacong, who won silver medals in 13 projects such as cybersecurity, will be commended and rewarded with RMB 150000 each. They will also be promoted to technician professional qualifications or skill levels. The technical guidance expert groups for the 13 projects mentioned above will each receive a reward of RMB 150000.

3、 Eleven individuals, including Wang Ruyong, who won bronze medals in 11 projects such as information network cabling, will be commended and rewarded with RMB 50000, as well as promoted to technician professional qualifications or skill levels. Each of the 11 technical guidance expert groups mentioned above will receive a reward of RMB 50000.

4、 32 individuals, including Zhai Yongbo, who won the Excellence Award for 27 projects including assembly fitter, will be commended and rewarded with RMB 10000 each. They will also be promoted to technician professional qualifications or skill levels. Each of the 27 technical guidance expert groups mentioned above will receive a reward of RMB 10000.

5、 82 coaches such as Lei Zhiliang, 81 technical guidance experts such as Wang Lanbin, and 190 organizers such as Chen Huang who have made outstanding contributions in organizing and participating in the competition will be commended.

6、 26 technical support and implementation guarantee units, including Guangdong Vocational Skills Service Guidance Center, which have made outstanding contributions in organizing the competition, as well as 14 competition organizing units and relevant departments, including Guangzhou Municipal People's Government, will be commended.
