Reasons for mold wear and tear

1. The problem with the materials of the main working parts of the mold is improper selection of materials. Poor material properties and lack of wear resistance; Mold steel is unrefined and has a large number of smelting defects; Convex and concave molds, incomplete forging process for forging blanks, and residual heat treatment hazards.

2. Mold structure design issues, unreasonable die structure. The slender convex mold is not designed with reinforcement devices, and the discharge port is not smooth, resulting in accumulation. The excessive unloading force intensifies the convex mold's ability to withstand alternating loads.

3. The imperfect molding process is mainly manifested in the poor internal quality of convex and concave forging blanks, problems with heat treatment technology and processes, resulting in incomplete quenching of convex and concave molds, soft spots, and uneven hardness. Sometimes micro cracks or even cracking occur, and the grinding and polishing are not in place, resulting in excessive surface roughness values.
